Recording MIDI data into a foot controller

BTW, just to clarify my earlier post, what I can do with the PMC that I
would like to do with the Mitigator is to record a patch simply by sending
all the information at once, say from the Mitigator, and recording it into 
a
string on the PMC.  I can do this going that direction, but my information
was that I could not send the string from the PMC into the Mitigator in one
fell swoop.
