new behringer mide foot controller FCB1010

Does anyone have any experience with one of these?  It seems a very good
pedal for the money, but, as i understand the manual (
http://www.behringer.de/eng/products/guitarworkstations/fcb1010.htm ), you
can only set the midi channel globally--which would make it pretty 
difficult
to control more than one unit.  anyone know if this is correct?
