A good starting point could be Computer Music magazine. It also has a cd-rom included with some free samples and sometimes some free software (both for pc and mac). For something more general 'bout musical instruments (and computers) you can go take a look to Mix and to Future Music. Both have cds included with samples. Regarding recording techniques you can take a look to The Mix and to EQ magazines. If you are more interested in keyboards you can look for Keyboard Magazine.
