Knobs on the EDP

Hi all,

Has anyone removed the knobs on their EDP (Plex)? It doesn't seem that 
there
are set screws so they must be pressured on somehow. Is there a trick 
to removing
them? I'm afraid to use BIFY (Brute Force and F*cking Ignorance) for 
fear of breaking
the shafts. Please advise.
