Ooh, I got this one! First thing any teacher should do is find out what the student wants to do--what they consider fun. It's like exercise--if you don't think about it being work, you are more likely to put yourself into it. TV and mass media definitely dosn't require enough of the viewer. But that's why it's taken hold so firmly.
