The Loop IV software for the EDP enables you to use a control pedal to add volume swell type bits of your performance to a loop without affecting the main volume--using the "in" setting, the pedal controls the input volume. Nice! Also good for multiplying without adding new content. Gotta remember to put it back up if you want to add new stuff tho. Just a reminder that altho it might cost more than some of the other loop tools available, the Echoplex Digital Pro is still the one that lets you do more of what you want--the RC-10 is great, but ridiculous in its simplicity--even more than the 'rang.
