Have you tried Ambiloop?

It would be nice if somebody came up with a version of Loop IV or an
emulation of Loop IV that could run as a VST plugin.

On a related note, I'm guessing this will be the winner in the rackmount
VST
plugin player wars:

Why the Receptor? Because:

- MSRP is $1599. Cheaper than Open Laps OMX and about half that of the
Plugzilla. Laptops cost about the same or more. Rackmount PCs are about
the same or more too.
- Symbolic Sounds-style upgrade plan in the works for the internal hard
drive. RAM is also expandable (256MG standard, 2GB max).
- Receptor's OS (it's not Mac OS or Windows - something proprietary I
guess)
doesn't use more than 16MB of RAM.
