For what it's worth, in regards to the people behind the 'Receptor', I worked with 4 of the 7 'principals' while at Opcode. All good people, and Dan Timis was a major contributer to Studio Vision... Also, AmbiLoop is not an EDP workalike... But, it is a free Windows based looper... There is a new version up at the yahoo support group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ambiloop), which has updates that make it a much more usable live looper... Please check out the new version if you weren't happy with previous versions.. :) And, if you do, and there are things about it which you still feel make it unusable, please send me email... as scathing as you'ld like.. hehe.. I prefer the ugly truth, to nice silence... :) peace -cpr >-- Original Message -- >From: "Alan Kroeger" <nospam@developsolutions.com> >To: <Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com> >Subject: RE: EDP software emulation? >Date: Fri, 26 Mar 2004 17:01:20 -0500 >Reply-To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com > > >It looks like it might be emdbedded Windows NT/XP it runs Windows dll's >according to this page >http://www.museresearch.com/receptor_faq.php?mode=html#faq5 > >-----Original Message----- >From: Paolo Valladolid [mailto:paolovalladolid@yahoo.com] >Sent: Friday, March 26, 2004 2:57 PM >To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com >Subject: Re: EDP software emulation? > >--- Jeff Larson <Jeff.Larson@waveset.com> wrote: >> >> This may be heresy, but has anyone written a software emulation of the > >> EDP? > >Have you tried Ambiloop? >http://evenfall.com/ambiloop/ > >It would be nice if somebody came up with a version of Loop IV or an >emulation of Loop IV that could run as a VST plugin. > >On a related note, I'm guessing this will be the winner in the rackmount >VST >plugin player wars: > >http://www.museresearch.com/ > >Why the Receptor?
