That's another one I've gazed at longingly from
afar, and at $500 for a 2-track recorder with XLR inputs, phantom
power, and mic pres (as well as built-in mics) it makes an attractive
alternative to both the Edirol R-1 and R-4.

The PMD-670 is a little more "pro" version at
