I think you can do what you want by setting the Loop/Delay
parameter to "In", then connecting a volume pedal to the
feedback pedal jack on the pack panel.    This behaves
just like Loop mode, except you can use the feedback
pedal to control input volume.   See page 4-22.

Bring the pedal all the way up to mute, and all the way
down to unmute.
