What a loop (or a guitar, or an effect, or a style of music, or  
instrumental technique, or...) has to say is what YOU are and what YOU  
have to say.

Everything else is a tool that you are using to outwardly create that  
expression.  Everything.

The only usefulness of valuing skill in the use of one tool over skill  
in another lies in the determination of what skills are necessary to  
play the music you want to play.

and I believe (perhaps naively) that the audience can always see  
through a hoax.
