I acutally like the Fender Twin and Jazz JC-120 tones of my Boss VF1s, and when is started this every Monday night jazz gig, I used them with my powered PA speakers....but, it's still too much shit and technology for me to worry about for a traditional jazz gig. Like many jazzers I know, I want to walk in with my guitar strapped on my back and one small amp in my hand....set the amp down, plug in with one patch chord and simply play. I can setup and be playing in 5 minutes. Moreover, I just bought a Roland Cube 30 and I'm really looking forward to using it when it gets here. Now I can take more time selling my Boogie Mark I....which I am now selling with a 1X12 Mesa Boogie Thiele cabinet (sealed and ported)....both for $1000. The cabinets alone often sell for $250 used on eBay.
