No, that's my tenor sax. A 1914 silver Conn with a nine star Otto  
Link mouthpiece armed with a soft fibracell reed (plastic coated  
bamboo). Gives a tone I like, but is a bit hard to play. Not for  
playing in a big band but great for improvised music where you can  
set the pace according to how much you're lip muscles can put up with  
before you loose the ability of correct intonation.

Yes. I actually thought that was what you had heard me doing in those  
live looping releases ;-)
The first time on record where I used that looping technique was this  
tune: http://www.looproom.com/aol/01_Patterns.mp3 where I played sax  
(through a wha pedal) into an EDP and ran the EDP output (the loops)  
through different effects. While playing the lead sax line I  
overdubbed accurate notes (not all) into three loops to form three  
different chords that I could step between with foot pedals. So you  
could say that the harmony voicing of those three chords grew thicker  
the longer the lead sax line had been going.
