ground control and jamman

I've just picked up a second-hand ground control - the earlier 12 
button version. Unfortunately, it has software version 1, which I 
understand is preventing me from using my jamman (old rack version), 
since I can't press the same button twice - it filters out the second 
press. Apparently, version 2 made changes to allow this. Is there 
anywhere I can find a later version chip?? I'm based in the UK.
