The problem for me arises when a topic that starts on topic devolves to ot. Do you switch lists? Who decides? It's just easier to hit delete, and way easy to put OT in the subject line. I've been here 10+ years and seen this issue come up repeatedly. It's actually been tried a few times with little success.
