I'm typically not one of these. I can't say what I'm listening to in
music, but it's not "chops", "sound" or "system". My listening
experience is more of "tasting memory flashbacks", although I have
not really done all the things that music makes me "remember". My
performer experience is just the same as my listening experience. I
like to listen to music that brings similar "memories" as the music I
play, even though it may differ on the outer surface (style,
instrumentation).
