I'd like to clear up a common misunderstanding with regard to Surround setups. As specified by Dolby, in Dolby Sourround setups, the channels specified before the dot are 20-20000 Hz channel used for "normal audio", while the channels behind the dot are 3-120 Hz (I think it was 120, but am not sure about this) "low frequency effect (LFE)" channels. That means that in a proper setup, the front and rear channels go all the way down for music applications while the .1 channel is only used for airplanes starting, cars exploding, death stars detonating etc. Depending on your speaker setup, it might actually make sense to feed a part of their signal to the sub as well. But playing back DVD audio (coded as 5.1) and having it go to the correct speakers would mean connecting all six speakers to your Fireface. Rainer
