Great disk that. Picked it up about a year ago. Noted the minor bit of background (and backwards) looping too. Nice emulation of East Indian melodic textures via same. I think Mr. Murkie is right . . . DL4. Lane was amazing (live or recorded). Such a shame he died back in '03 at the relatively young age of 40. tEd ® kiLLiAn http://www.myspace.com/tedkillianguitar http://www.myspace.com/tedkillian Flux Aeterna: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playListId=6378076 Also check out the BEMF 1 CDs at: http://www.boisemusicians.com/experimental/cd.htm And: "Mojo at the Dojo" CD at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/hartungkillian And: "Experimentus" CD at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/krispen4 http://www.pfmentum.com/flux.html http://www.CDbaby.com/cd/tedkillian http://www.guitar9.com/fluxaeterna.html http://www.indiejazz.com/ProductDetailsView.aspx?ProductID=193 http://www.loopers-delight.com/cgi-bin/profiles.cgi?step=view_profile&id=121197000042 http://www.guitarplayer.com/story.asp?storyCode=18131 Ted Killian's "Flux Aeterna" is also available at Apple iTunes ---- scott hansen <evanpeewee@yahoo.com> wrote: > just an fyi-i bought the Hellborg/shawn lane-dvd-Paris, and watched it >over the weekend, some interesting stuff on there. > the 2nd set, shawn lane does some looping stuff at beginning of set, you >can see him hitting some floor controller, > and i'm not sure what looper he used, but you could definately hear what >sounded like backwards playing that was behind his opening phrasing for >the song. > it was quite interesting in that it was seamless incorporated in the >works, didn't seem out of place at all, and his playing is quite good. > i had seen the dvd recommended in guitar players 50 dvd must haves a few >issues ago. > > also -just bought the dvd 1 & 2 of krispen's boise experimental music >fest-can't wait to watch those. thanks krispen for making those >available-i realize it was probably a night mare to coordinate and all.... > s---- > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
