> There's a whole load of EDP functions that aren't in the Looperlative. The Looperlative LP1 was never meant as a replacement for the EDP. Because they are both looping devices there are some common functions. However, beyond the basic looping features, they have different feature sets. Which device suits you best can only be decided by you. > Also, my approach to looping would push the Looperlative to the limit >and > run up against bugs. > Part of the Looperlative deal is that the purchasers are the testers, >it's > an investment in time as well as money. If you want to use the absolute latest features added to the device, then yes, you are part of the testing team. However, if you stick to only the stable releases of the firmware, then you would be fine. The LP1 is now over 2 years old and used on a daily basis by several people. I've said all along that there it is good for the looping community if multiple manufacturers offer devices to choose from. No one device can be the perfect solution for every person. It is important for different devices to exist to give people the flexibility of choosing what works best for them. -Bob Amstadt
