Today, I talked with Bruce, who works for Tima Tec, the site I sent out the email about initially on the Repeater Users list a couple weeks ago, and the one Fro had mentioned last week.
Turns out, they actually still do have 256 MB and 512 MB Pretec CFCs left. And, they know about the Repeater (and our need for the Hitachi chip)--he specifically asked me if I was buying CFCs for it! [Apparently, we are like the other people left who are still trying to find cards like these and looking for less than 1 GB cards.]
Anyhow, the deal is, they have 7 of the 512 CFCs left--after this, they are out of stock (gulp, forever).
They also still have some 256 MB cards in stock as well, I
think he said they have something like 25 or so left. Same deal as with the 512 MB cards though, what they have left is what they have left, and once they are gone, they're gone.
Tina Tec's product numbers are slightly different that how they showed up on the Pretec Site initially, and how the Jactron site has them listed.
For the 512 MB card, the part number they use is CHF512-CP. For the 256 MB card, the part number is
CFH-256-CP.
To order my cards, I first emailed and then actually placed my order over the phone. Personally, I found the easiest way to do it, but I'm not quite as Web site friendly as a user ...
