I too hear that Ronin delivers a rather crappy fidelity but that works well in my looping concept to layer and slice up with more hi fi type sounds. But the functionality I particularly like with Ronin is its Ducking Mode. However, Audio Damage now has the Dr Device that also offers Ducking Mode so that functionality is not lost for a mac plug-in. Maybe I could use Dr Device instead for the same routings that Ronin made successful! Routings like "auto looper" and "freeze reverb/delay" can of course be set up in hosts like Bidule and Max (by utilizing an envelope follow object monitoring the live audio input and set to accordingly control specific plug-in parameters) but I appreciate plug-ins that already contain the necessary routing for the reason of being able to easily migrate my performance context between different host applications. Multi functional plug-ins come in very handy then. -- Greetings from Sweden Per Boysen www.boysen.se (Swedish) www.looproom.com (international) www.myspace.com/perboysen www.stockholm-athens.com
