Think your right Travis, in this vid he is using a couple of other boxes, I can't make out what they are.
Both inputs are taken up on the DL 4 so that makes sense.

I saw him playing on the street in San Francisco, and he had a mic and a guitar going into a single DL4.  I think he was making use of the dual inputs on the DL4.
