Thanks for sharing this, Rick. I very much doubt that anyone will be 
bothered by it's OT nature.

I do listen to a certain amount of classical music and am another lapsed 
clarinetist. I played clarinet at school until I was 18 and still had the 
occasional blow, until a couple of years ago whe I got it out and found 
that 
the pads had been eaten by moths.

I had never heard this Copland concerto before and I love it. I must say 
that I don't find it particularly melancholic though, just lovely.

On further investigation I found this BBC radio programme, which inludes a 
discussion of Coplands composing of the peice and an interview with 
Richard
