OT: duduk and arve henriksen

norwegian trumpet player arve henriksen has incorporated eastern
embellishments and use of vibrato into his unique style of playing.
it reminds me a lot of duduk and shakuhachi. a truly personal and
touching voice he has.
his ecm recordings are very beautiful.
i worked with him on a production and he is as humble and friendly as
his playing suggests.
sorry for the shameless self promotion:
you may want to check out the compositions i wrote for him and
thereminist barbara buchholz on "moonstruck", intuiton records INT 3402 2.
