Bidule lets you have as many tempos as you want, with sync as desired. That's a feature that was in the Steinberg vst spec for a while, but was dropped in the latest edition ( but being deprecated won't stop it being kept going by developers who see it's worth). > > In fact I'm surprised Usine gets so little mention 'round these parts. > It has much the same 'patchability' as Bidule or Audiomulch but with an > interface specifically designed for live performance. Well, why don't you suss it out and then tell us about it :-) Bidule only gets mention because people like Per and myself spend time with it and then report back. It's hard to tell without downloading the program and spending some time with it, for instance, looking at the web page I couldn't be 100% certain it even had an audio input! It looks like it's more sequencer based than Bidule, but it does appear to have the same sort of patching layout. I bet folks here will love the touch screen version, looks amazing :-) (tho' from the vid, the response time is no where near fast enough for rhythmic accuracy) There's no mention that you can re-patch fx while playing, which is offered by Bidule ( with Bidule, you could search your hard drive for interesting vst/vsti's while you let the music run). > > At least Usine is another VST host well worth checking out. Yep, thanks. Maybe you started something ;-) andy butler > > Ian >
