"when you say track speed you mean the half speed function on the M13?" Yes. " so first you push the record then you toggle the halfseed button while you are playing to get the fast octaver snippets with the delay off and then do post proccesing with a delay tempo correct?" Yes,I usually start recording in half speed so I hit that button first, then hit record, then start toggling the track speed, This can be done on a DL-4, and EDP, the M-13, and the LP-1, and I'm sure in most if not all of the software apps. One night I sat up playing with Bernard Wagner, and we were able to find many different combinations of track speed toggle that generated odd time signatures. I find the most use full application of this technique leans more toward patterns heavy on notes played at half speed and playing the resulting loop at normal speed rendering the track more in the high frequency registers and easier to hear as a tempo source. This works really well with all manner of guitboxing techniques, or beatboxing techniques or even fluteboxing techniques, or perhaps cellboxing.................. Also it works well in a more free way to, toggling speeds randomly as you play a melody with the resulting loop jumping octaves in unpredictable ways .
