OT: For Bassists--Ever heard of a Toucan?

I picked up a Toucan bass -- Initially I thought it was a kind of faux Alembic, but I'm wondering if it may be a much better score than I originally thought. KNowing well enough if you like it thats what counts, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about these. Well-built, Alembic style pick-ups, bridge and tail, and approximate body style, fretless with 2 tiny frets near the body for the funk/slap. Google left me precious little information.
