Just in case others are not aware of it, for $10 US you can buy a
PC-compatible game controller (I have a Logitech Precision), download
free software that converts it to MIDI (I use Rejoice), and voila - MIDI
controller. No foot pedal connections, not so easy to adjust with one
hand - but dirt cheap, very small and light.

it) to build a midi controller (foot, hand or whatever) yourself? I
