Re: new instruments for film work

Spectrasonics Omnisphere has all the mentioned instruments. Bowed, plucked, burning etc. My favorite new tone comes from layering my acoustic guitar with ebowed piano. Absolutely beautiful.

hey,

thanks a lot for your ideas and links.

i have just bought and tried some ideas on an Iranian santoor. such a great instrument. it is like having a prepared piano on your lap :) would be great with looping for sure. also try the bowed tanbur if you can. incredible harmonics... would be a great instrument to add for the final mix of a piece.

also a Kurdish percussion instrument erbane is highly recommended. like having the whole percussion set on 1 single instrument. weird...

best regards.
