Re: Energy XT anyone?

I have. I used version 1 for a couple of years, and I still like version 2.5. I really like the modular view, and I find EnergyXT easy to set up. I don't feel like it works as well as Bidule when timing is critical. I found Bidule to be more reliable when I'm starting and stopping Stylus RMX and I want everything to be quantized and in sync. If it is working well for your needs, by all means stick with it. It's a great program and I've found Jorgen, the programs author, to be very responsive.

Two new technologies I've come across allow music listening to be more of an 'active' rather than a passive listening experience - RjDj and MXP4.

But two questions come to mind:

As a musician, what do you think about them?
As a music listener, what do you think about them?

Personally, I'm intregued by the possibilities. If I was a 14 year old kid today, I'd be all over this stuff. But, something special about the uniqueness of a mix is surely lost.

What do you think?
