I have viewed a few and it seems to be bridging the (marginal) gap between the handsonic series and the more stick drum orientated series of pads.. the odd thing to me is to call is SPD (which always to my knowlage denoted Sample Pad Drum) and then NOT incude sampling ability.... what a dumb idea.. also while on the subject matter what the hell is the deal with sample memory??? vs say Ram or Flash? to wit The DX Multi video demo boasts 64Mb of sample memory..............whooooaaa hold on to your hats, thats almost as much memory as my first digital camera had in oooh 1998 !!!!! wow progress!!! Is this some techinical limitation that I dont know about specific to sampling? or are musical instrument developers just backwards thinkng in this area too?? cmon, my PHONE has 16GB of fast flash memory.... why wouldnt something like tis have the same? sorry rant over, but its something that has always annoyed me consideirng the state of fast volatile and non volatile memory today, why is 64mb still a boast not a shame?
