Jim et al; I thought this too; at the very least, we might consider some sort of musical project? yes?… Afterall, that's part of what this community is here for?… I've been orbiting here since the beginning and was lucky enough to have the pleasure of meeting Kim at the First Women's Looping Festival in San Jose, where, it's safe to say, I had a fairly abysmal performance. Getting together with Kim and Rick for dinner afterward though, truly went a long way to lifting my spirits! :) Kim was just wonderful to be around! He was fun, eloquent and certainly witty. :) In the short time we spent, his humor, and kind good nature, really shone through! It was simply a most wonderful time and we just had an absolute blast! :) woohoo! -THANK YOU KIM!!! On the list, his writings gave me a smile many a time. -Again, THANK YOU KIM!!! You rock!!! So, for me, this news leaves me shaken as I write this. To Violet, I've written you privately, so I hope my messages make it. (occasional email issues) Do feel free to call on me if you like… I offer my deepest condolences to you. -As others here have said, please do reach out for support should you need. This is also what we're here for. To you Jim, and the list, though I've been on the outer reaches for a while, I'd love to lend what support I can to any project we settle on. Kim put endless time and effort into this community. His caring and commitment were obvious to say the least. I'd like to give back the best I can in kind… Please be well, All… Most Sincerely, Cara Quinn On Jun 20, 2010, at 11:48 AM, Jim Goodin wrote: Re Michael's post above in passing days maybe we should think about the list doing some kind of recording or some kind of benefit in Kim's memory. I don't know if he had children or leaves behind someone in need of funds but it's a thought.
