Its a problem we all have, along with sound cards, synching issues, hiss and hum. Its that gnarly old problem of CATS PEEING ON YOUR GUITAR SYNTH!!!

What can one do about this perennial problem? when the most useful foot-switch stops working afterward? As in the Hold button, to keep the GR 30 playing that groovy, ambient, arpeggio, while I solo, eyes closed, with a soaring delayed smooth, oh so silky smooth distortion...

Personally I have taken mine apart (the guitar synth, not the cat) and squirted masses of switch cleaner at the bugger in question.. but to no avail.. its stuck!

So does anyone happen to know what that part is? Its looks like a slightly tricky solder sucking job, but maybe not too bad.. or I could maybe mount a stomp switch next to the crap plastic thingy, but what.. a dtdp... wotsit.. needs to be momentary I guess... Basicaly, has anyone else ever fixed THIS TYPE OF SWITCH.. sure its roughly the same in all Roland products...

As for the cats...

Mark
