I had read that somewhere, but as Per said it was really
the interaction between the "air from the
speaker transmitting the vibration
back into the guitar". He also in that interview talked about a good tube amp
needed for that, but that he was using a Roland JC 120 by then so go figure,
lol

sound of drones, loops and Ebows as well as filter sweeps, sequencers and hand

ps I think you're
right about Frip too - 2 fuzz boxes and you're away.. I personally don't like
the lack of dynamics in the 2 fuzz effect. Ebows are much more
interesting...
