The PT is pretty much capable of any amount of COMP, you use the BLEND 
knob for that. Also, are you sure it's COMP that you want? Are you 
thinking of a LIMITER perhaps? I use my PT on almost everything I record & 
I find it the most musical COMP I've ever used. It responds very well but 
of course, will change depending on what you feed it. I agree that the 
GRIT isn't for everything, but if you want just a bit of a touch of edge 
it works fine. I rarely use it myself becuase I have a tube EHX English 
Muddin OD pedal which I love, so the GRIT isn't something I need.


 BTW I went to try the pigtronix
