"Further" Photo Essay on flickr

Hi folks,

I have a new photo essay called "Further", which is described below

I've been a fan of the Grateful Dead's music since 1969, and recently 
attended a concert by Further (Phil Lesh and Bob Weir's latest 
project) at LeLacheur Park, a minor league baseball park in Lowell, 
MA. The show was outdoors, and started at 6:15 PM, on a perfect 
bright sunny day. There was a good sized dance and listening area in 
front of the stage, and it was not too crowded (or too loud)  if I 
stayed on the periphery and did not try to get close to the stage.

I mainly took pictures of the crowd and the environs --  only as few 
of  the shots here show the band itself. The crowd was more 
interesting to me photographically -- the variety of faces, 
expressions, and outfits was inspiring.

It got dark during the  second set, and I took a lot of abstract time 
exposures, waving my camera around and varying zoom and focus as I 
did so.
