The rang works really well for the song approach.
Especially if you want to build it from scratch.
The EDP was my fav. I had one, but it was stolen about 3 years back. I was
just getting into the "windowing" technique, were I could resample certain
sections of a loop, while another section was fading by use of the
feedback, and then morph it into something really different. Only thing I
missed was stereo.
I got an Akai Headrush to hold me over, I really missed the EDP.
I think it is the best, for it's ability to do things on the fly.
My main hang up with the rang is the slight delay before it starts to
record, when you overdub. It's a minor thing but for somethings I like to
be playing them already before I record them.
It has quite a few other features, but they are not easily accessible in a
live situation.
Overall though I think it's a great pedal for the song approach.
