Re: Any news on MIDI pedalboard Softstep's shipping date?
very good idea Kevin!
just make sure you use the same Eprom Chip if you program the fcb1010 with Ripwerx!
ive actually sort of done this with Rick when i go there he has lent me his and when he was here i did the same
the thing, is just too bulky to haul around and is becoming very anoying to travel with
on the other hand ive read somewhere that the FCB1010 can be modified to be phantomed power through the midi cable how true is that?
though i doubt that it would be reliable plugged in through a soundcard which is also powered through a firewire cable through your macbook
i havent had the time to look into the softstep documentation but since i program mobius and the EDP mostly with "notes on" would it be able to control them as well?and i take it if i use it with the EDP id need that midi expander right?
if this available before the Santa Cruz festival add me to your list!

Maybe if enough traveling people need one you could chip in and buy a
loop fest FCB and use an editor to load your personal settings as
needed at the fest. You couldn't have people scheduled too closely
but it might be easier than everyone hauling one around on planes and
such.
Just a thought for you all.

Till now you seriously considered yourself to be the body and to have a
form. That is the primal ignorance which is the root cause of all trouble.
