I'm very positive to Octatrack! It seems close to the dream instrument
I had a vision of twenty years ago: a real-time live sampler with
integrated step sequencing options. I tried to convince some
manufacturers to create such an instrument, but they all answered that
the market is too small. However my activities lead me to find out
about the Looper's Delight ;-). On LD DT suggested I should hook up a
step sequencer to my Repeater and that was one small step towards my
dream instrument. Today I would rather see a software version though,
because that would be easier for a user to tweak and set up in a
unique way. I won't say more until there is a detailed manual and
specification chart on the Octatrack published.
