if you can handle 1/4 audio jacks and velcro, I think you could probably
survive...

Unless you are getting Pete Cornish to rehouse everything and mount it in a
floor case, most pedal boards are literally just metal frames with slots or
channels for cables and a flat surface to attach velcro tape to hold your
pedals... Thats what my Pedal Train unit is...
