Man! I had a friend waaay back in the 80s who used to hawk at me
nearly endlessly about how You Have To Live In The Cash Society! No
checks, no cards, just cash. He had to bend his own rules a little when
he’d get paid in check from the company we worked for, and it was via the
W2/1099 form bit that he got nicked by der taxman, I suspect. Something
like 10 grand in dodged taxes, he admitted to me.
Best tax-oriented rules I know:
1. Keep yer nose clean. The system doesn’t work for YOU.
2. If you really owe someone money, bloody PAY THEM.
