It's worth noting that on a recent episode of CSI:New York, a French 
music 
student (killed of course) was using tablets as controllers to a laptop on 
a 
web streaming site (though the forensic description of how the site worked 
was fairly specious).

Distributed processing would certainly make sense, though in the episode 
the 
poor girl was using stolen goods...
