Thanks for the reply guys- and congrats on the zepplin cover! Kashmir was the very first song i started looping and 3 yrs later im still working on it..... puurrrdy close though ;o) ill be using a laptop so no worries there...and ty for the personal recent update- that calms me a bit- I love it because its bus powered & has an expression pedal input. im not aware of any other pedal with those simple requirements, if anyone knows of an alternative please let me know as i found diddly squat. Im imagining the pedals to feel a bit foreign, but i simply hope they give good physical feedback of a proper button press. thank you again! Date: Tue, 25 Jan 2011 05:43:40 -0500 To: Loopers-Delight@loopers-delight.com The zeppelin cover I just did with the softstep was in 'standalone mode' so it was only connected with a midi cable to my audio interface in my rig...... so it does not have to be connected to a computer. You use the computer to downoad your preset 'scenes' and then you can unplug the softstep and plug it in to anything that accepts midi. It does need power though so as long as you can busk with a power strip your fine. You have to purchase the midi expander as well as the softstep though if you want this functionality. FRO - As of the past 3 days with their latest beta updte, I have had no issues looping at all with the softstep. There are a few issues with the led lights but their tech support said they have already ironed those out with the next update (official update to this beta) coming this week. It's has a really small footprint so in that sense it will be great for travel. The footswitches are way different though than anything I had tried before so its something you can practice and learn to adapt to or hate it because it's not what your used to.... They have a 30 day return policy so I think it's worth trying it out. I love it now personally. -Todd Matthews On Jan 25, 2011, at 2:47 AM, Andy Owens wrote:
