before we looped

i have no photos of me playing, was never in a band, no recordings...
started writing songs in 97-98 (acoustic/singer songwriter stuff), they used to be on the old mp3.com page, which then got removed,
so i've never put the stuff back up...it's been probably 4 yrs since i've played my acoustics w/ any dedication...

from 91-01, my main setup was: steinberger gl3t-rat pedal-yamaha delay-50 watt amp....
sometimes i would set the delay to the 1.2 sec of delay (the max) and mess w/ making it long and short, it worked pretty cool, i was probably trying
to mimic the tommy bolin  echoplex stuff (steve stevens would probably be the recent touchstone from the 80s w/ billy idol).
when i bought the pedal, the guy i bought it from, he demo'd what it could do and he did some little loop thing and would play some bluesy riffs
inbetween--he was a really good guitar player, coming out of the roy buchanan school of the 60s/70s...it had a sample mode also, i never used that.

my other pedals i had was an old ibanez phase tone pedal and an ibanez chorus (i'd make extreme noises w/ the chorus).
that's all i had, the thing w/ it, was that i only had 2 power cords to power the pedals at once, i was too poor to get any more....

i had dreamed of the rack mulit-units (digitech gsp or dsp units) that were the rage in the 90s, but they were WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for me.
the steinberger purchase was huge for me....
i think i discovered the L-D.com site on accident, shortly after that read about the digitech rp100 unit (in GP mag), had some $$ left over from the
sale of my steinberger & bought a parker nitefly, so bought the rp100 based on the reviews and went to town. man i messed w/ the 2 sec of delay
the rp100 had, like CRAZY....

after i got the rp100 and started buying the rack stuff cheap from the 90s (sort of miss the old digitech dsp256xl), i sold my pedals....
i really do miss the RAT pedal, i had the white lettering one from the 80s. should have kept that one....oh well....
onward & upward as they say....
happy looping.
