On the Mac through IAC into Bidule I'm seeing jitter +- about .05 BPM with occasional .4 spikes. It's a little better on Windows. This is higher than I was expecting, and I might be able to improve that but some amount of jitter is unavoidable in consumer OSs. What I suspect happens is that drum machines, sequencers, or anything that actually needs to sync a pattern to a tempo will tend to do it's own smoothing, while simpler things like a delay plugin that just wants to know "120" won't smooth and may attempt to follow very minute variations. Splicing in a tempo smoother might help there. In Bidule a better way to do that would be to use VST sync which is much more accurate than MIDI but not every plugin supports that and AFAIK Bidule is the only host that supports it.
