I reckon that once sync is lost you need to re-record the loop
at the new tempo.

If the looper has a time stretch that can help too,
although you still need to re-trigger.
(with the EH Stereo Memory Man the procedure is stop loop,
 tap the time, start the loop, so it's hardly seamless)

Really though, and I think Rick would agree, this is
all "crisis management". If you're having to re-sync
then it's going to sound bad...a better strategy 
is preferable.

I thought the DL4 let you get round that limitation 
by hitting Ply/Stop during the One Shot playback.
..or it re-triggers continuous when you do that.
