Well sounds like you DO use stereo to me!!!! But IM the same.. I like either the lead sound to becentered and leave the surrounding ambience to be stereo, OR, as in this case I make a sound that spreads over the whole spectrum, but I rarely use PANNING EFFECTS.. I do like to place things in the stereo fiels a bit tho..

For example, my 2 edps are (slightly) panned Left and right..
