Doesn't Ableton have an editor where any wrong midi-learns can be corrected?? Kevin Cheli-Colando wrote:
Did someone say there is a chip that eliminates this problem on the FCB.
yup, the Uno chip doesn't have the bugs. (and does have editor software) It's written by Xavier who makes the Little Giant range of controllers, ...(which is the highest recommendation possible). Also, very early editions of the fcb firmware were free of the problem. (but you *can't* avoid re-programming by changing to an early chip) What you could try is to go into the global setting menu for the fcb and try either1) make sure the channels for the 2 lots of CC commands are set to 16, or any channel you know you won't use.
2) change the channel you are using to one that avoids that of the spurious CCs ...but I don't know if Ableton fill let you filter by midi channel to take advantage of that. Maybe you could use a different (cleaner )source of midi data while Ableton is in learn mode. andy
