Strange Mobius Looping Behavior

I've been using mobius for a year now and can rarely remember having sny problems with it. However it seems to be looping weird all the sudden. For example I will play one bar  of a drum beat then hit the record button the second time to truncate the loop and i make sure i hit it in time but then there is some sort of looping lag. The first time it loopcycles it sounds rhythmically different than the repeats afterwards.
