I did years ago, and I know you problem! I had to put extra heavy strings
on and start really low...like a low C....otherwise, by the time you get to
the high e string, they are ready to pop off or break your neck in two. LOL
Sounds cool thought, especially if you play the guitar as if it were still
tuned normally.
